There are so many great things about choosing a motorhome holiday. With a motorhome, you can make it a home away from home, but it can be easy to forget that it won’t have all your home comforts. There’s always something that you leave behind when you go off on holiday, so we’ve compiled a quick list of a few essentials to help jog your memory when it comes time to pack.
Waterproofs
Britain is famous for its wet weather, so even if you’re going in the middle of August, it might be a good idea to be super prepared!
Plenty of warm clothes
Our little island may be known for its wet weather, but it is certainly not famous for long, hot summers. With this in mind, make sure that you’re prepared for cold days and nights. Maybe pack a few extra blankets just to be safe.
Bucket BBQ
If you’re lucky enough to catch some of the glorious sunshine, a bucket barbecue is a convenient and fun way to enjoy a lunch or dinner. Our motorhomes do come with fully fitted kitchens, but you can’t beat a BBQ on a hot summer’s day.
First aid kit
As the boy scouts say, be prepared. Hopefully you won’t need to use it, but if you do get any grazes or cuts, it’s good to have a stock of first aid items to use.
Travel sickness medicine
This is a particularly useful item to take if you are travelling with young children who often get travel sick. You could either use travel sickness tablets or bands that slide onto your wrist. You can pick both of these treatments up at most pharmacies.
Tea!
Possibly the most important item on our list, don’t forget the teabags! There’s nothing better than watching the sunset in the Scottish countryside with a strong cup of tea in your hand. While we’re on the subject, don’t forget the biscuits either!
